The additives used in Seals HQ Biodegradable Plastic Security Seals have been extensively tested according to ASTM D5511, 5526, 5208, 7475, D6954-04, British Standard 8472 and UAE Standard 2009:5009.
Our Biodegradable Security products also complies with Federal Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act (FDA) and the European Union Regulation EU No.10/2011 on food contact plastic materials.
Our Biodegradable Security products are not formulated with heavy metals. Ecotoxicity testing also verifies that there are no residuals left such as metabolites, un-degraded components and inorganic components which exert a negative influence on plant growth, earthworms or freshwater organisms.
Extensive testing has been performed to ensure that the performance of the seal has not been compromised. The special additive used not only naturally attracts over 600 different kinds of microbes, it also makes it easier for the microbes to digest and eventually consume the Security Seal!
The testing which was conducted by ISO testing methods and the ASTM D5511, 5526 and 7475 testing methods for Anaerobic biodegradation show biodegradation at a baseline minimum of 60% in a year.
